Information on Gaggenau cooktop
Posted by Marshall on March 8, 2021 at 8:56 pmWell…..I’ve searched this site and didn’t find a definitive answer…..can anyone provide me with the cutout dimensions of the Gaggenau 2 burner cooktop? Currently installed in a 2007 Marathon, but I’m looking to replace. I saw the posts about the K&H units, but would like to confirm the cutout that is already there before I pull out the Gaggenau.
Also…any Marathon owners that can confirm the cooktop is definitely 220V?
Thanks for the info…….

Gaggenau in our 96 Marathon is 220V. Only thing in the coach that is. Wish the Splendide dryer was 220.

Marshal, I replaced my Gaggenau with an induction cooktop I purchased from Rick. For my 02 H, it was a drop in replacement. Here’s a post from Rick that has dimensions of the induction that may help, assuming your Gaggenau dimensions are the same.

Good Morning Marshall,
One of the very first and best upgrades was replacing our Gag with the K&H. Had already ordered it prior to taking coach delivery. Yes, 220v and no modifications were required. It was an easy less than 2 hour total time effort.

Marshal, my son’s company has a kit for the K&H to make it flush mount.

Dan,
Sent you an e-mail. I’m interested in talking to your son. Looks like just what I want.

Dan, I would like to do this modification. Melissa doesn’t complain about too many things, but the recessed installation of the OEM cooktop, which interferes with cleaning the area, is a topic of frequent complaints.
I would like info on the flush-mount kit.

Colt, that was Judy’s same complaint. My sons number is 402 618 4282, Dream Machines, Glenwood Ia. Feel free to give him a call.

Yep! I complain about it every time I have to use a Q-tip to clean around those edges! I am super excited about getting this! 🙂
Hope you are all doing well!

Would it be this one? Would like to replace the Gagenau for a unit without large knobs…

The cook top posted in the picture above is an induction cook top and I think most folks are favoring induction over the electric element versions. We sure love our new K&H induction setup.

Other than appearance, what are the advantages to moving to an induction cooktop? I have a Seaward electric cooktop. Not sure if it is 120 or 240, but I will find out.

Colt, I gave the wrong phone # for Dream Machine & Prototyping, it’s 402 253 4528. Sorry ’bout that.
