A former RV dealer 35 plus years. Buses 22 yrs 4th conversion 2nd prevost with slides(my design and built by me) Present coach is a 98 45Xle that had a rear Electrical fire that Ibought as a salvage shell. So my learning curve on the level low and electical system is hands on. It was destroyed from the center of the drive axle rearward. The coach now has all new suspension under it and level-low has been restored to stock. A fresh 60 series with a 10spd eaton autoshift as a powertrain. Now has three slides and a full rear bath plus a half bath for guest, I have been down for about 5 months with back surgery or the coach would be finished! Starting back now. May make anual trip to Fla or winter if not will be spring of next year. All depends on me. The rear 1/4 will be in primer till funds allow for the final paint. This is a update for those who know me and a intro for those who don’t. Bob Evansville Indiana

I know I have been lusting for photos of your progress and look forward to seeing the coach. It has to be a massive undertaking because a lot of the work is spent in taking stuff apart before it can be put together. Few of us ever get into learning the systems as you have had to due to restoration of fire damage.

Life is good: do encourage everyone to keep on plugging along. My cabinet work is nearing completion. Plumbing and electrical plus hvac is complete. Ready to slide engine / trans in. Major step! Then fingers crossed the three computers will be in agreement with each other. I have had great help from Jim Shepard and Wayne (Rusty) who have done the 60 plus 10 sp eaton .and not to forget Ken (hard headed ken) also. These guys have helped with the ground breaking design. The three mentioned are very elite in their fields and their work is awsome! The Volvo clutch system goes in tomorrow then time to slide the cradle in and hook up drive shaft. Would like to hear what other home guys sre doing???? Bob

Is there any way you can post some youtube videos? The bus sounds like it’s been a great project, I would love to see it in person.

So sometimes it is a few inches then measure., In my case I hope all alowances are forseen and it will go in in one shot. Sure LoL.There are some old pictures of my 89 that now lives in Texas and the start of the 98 on photobucket. Just google:: pictures by robertglines1on photobucket. sort of a hit a mess bunch .all bus pictures only there. Bob
