  • I saw 30 entertainer buses in Nashville-Advice?

Posted by gary on May 20, 2021 at 10:36 am

I just returned from Nashville. I have been looking for Prevost rv with 3-6 bunks. I must have viewed at least 30 different entertainer Star buses from t The well-known companies down there. The salesman were great. However the condition of the RV especially the bays underneath looked like they were all in poor condition filthy and beat up. The mileage obviously we’re all approximately 400,000 miles—1,000,000 miles

I do business travel throughout United States and have two professional drivers I never stay at campgrounds and often we drive through the night. I’d like as much interior room as I can while I’m on the road therefore I’ve been focusing on older coaches 2000 2001 2000 to 2003 2004 non-slide Prevost RVs.

I believe the best thing for me to do is try to find a coach that was private hopefully garage kept with mileage below 300,000 and great log records. I will then just add three bunks in the midsection by taking out closets and sinks. It sounds like it will run about $10,000 for three bunks Am I on the right track??

    thank you Dr Gary

You may be underestimating the cost of converting to bunks, especially if you seek the quality level of a typical conversion.

Entertainer coaches are close equivalents of motor home conversions, but they are tools, and as such are used and abused by folks who are leasing them and do not own them.

We all have different interpretations of quality levels and what is acceptable, but in coach ownership, especially one used extensively the systems are far more important that decor or appearance. Some entertainer coaches have inadequate sized bathrooms, use multiple generator, and very small kitchen areas making cooking in the coach difficult.

But if the coach is primarily used to go from point A to B and meals are eaten at restaurants, then those differences are unimportant.

Have you talked to Wade Staley at Staley Coach? He’s the go to guy in Nashville for star and entertainer coaches and has coaches listed here on PC.
