I found a great remote temperature alarm
Y came across this item by courtesy of the FMCA.
The great thing about this temperature alarm is that it works on the GSM cellular network. No WiFi, no Bluetooth to worry about.
It is being sold as a RV Pet Safety temperature alarm system but, of course, it works just as well for someone with no pets.
You set the parameters, you can enter multiple telephone numbers to receive alerts. Several people can access the app at the same time as long as you share a user name and password.
It will set you back about $275 including 1 year of monitoring.
However, I find it comforting to be able to call-up the app on my smartphone to check on the interior temperature or receive text message alerts, when the temps are out of range.
Especially now, when we will be leaving the bus in Las Cruces for 2 weeks while we go scuba diving in Mexico. The temps could go down to freezing while we are away.
