HWH Rear slide inop
Removed/Rebuilt/Reinstalled upper and lower lock pin cylinders and both large room cylinders on the front slide with no issue. Synchronising the two main cylinders was a challenge but all is well.
Removed/Rebuilt/Reinstalled the upper lock pin cylinder and main cylinder on the rear slide. Now the rear slide won’t move. Locking pins unlock and that’s it, slide does nothing else.
I have checked all the fuses, bleed the air out of the system twice but no luck. On the circuit board the LED lights indicating operation of solenoids only lights for the unlock and does not progress to extend or retract.
HWH said PSI is what makes the system switch from unlock to extend or retract then lock so I checked the PSI switch (it works)
Here is the confusing part. There is only one pump and one PSI switch that run through two connected manifolds. The pump and PSI switch work when operating the front slide but the PSI only reads unlock on the rear slide.
Nothing was done electrically, only the hydraulic rams were removed rebuilt and replaced, but now it seems like the circuit board for the rear slide is not working. Can’t figure out how servicing the hydraulic system can effect the electrical system. To me it’s like rotating the tires on your car and the engine quits working.
HWH wants to tell me the pump isn’t producing enough PSI, but how can the pump move the larger front slide with two rams and can’t move the rear slide with one ram.
The other strange thing is if I open the Retract solenoid manually the slide out extends, and if I manually open the extend solenoid the slide retracts. I have triple checked and there is no way I could have reversed the hydraulic hoses because each one is cut to length and could not reach any other position.
Any and all input is welcome
