AISLU RV roof top Airconditioner . Clifford refered to their existance on another board. Very much like mini-split system but in a roof top unit. I downloaded pdf from google around 45 db inside (non ducted) which is much lower than other roof tops. With no power surge on start up! runin at about 1/3 the power and no power surge on start up–big advantage when running off inverter— of current roof tops. Inverter technology like the mini-splits I’m running with apparently a simple roof top install. Standard roof tops are very inefficient with low seer factors– these will come in over 15.. depending on model… I need more info and source to purchase some for our toter home. I will be the first to try and report back.. I do trust the technology –Just need the source..I understand Monoco is using them in their Rv mfg program . Doing a little fishing here as this peaked my intrest. I was thinking about building my own roof top unit using this technology..These are heat and ac units combined..super efficient!!! Bob

Bob, Sounds interesting! I’ve decided to go with a residential 2 ton Trane split system. I like the idea of having home hvac cooling and heat. Also, check out this YouTube video ……. interesting for power if it really works.
