How are your LED taillights working out?
I know there were several owners who changed out their taillights, dock lights etc. to LED. How are they working out? Are you still recommending them?

I’m using the stock tail light fixtures but I replaced all bulbs with LES’s from Superbrightleds

In March 2017 replace original with Gil Johnson LED units. Still working flawlessly.
Then almost a yr ago I installed Matthew Valentine J.W.Speaker headlight units. WOW.

I’ve also replaced most of the GM truck cargo lights with LED units.
No regrets

Everything is working Well, I am almost 100% LED including the dash lights. The only lights i have that are non LED are the CC Sun Mulon Switches.

Yes, that is what I would like to do, keep the original tail lights and replace the bulbs with LED. There are a lot of choices, with varying reviews. But yours are working out well?

Looking good! A while back I reached out to Gil J. but he wasn’t making the tail lights then. So I will keep the originals, but replace the bulbs.
Like the headlight upgrade, I got a set from Matt as well, but haven’t installed them yet. Was the install easy?
Looks like you also replaced your fog/driving lights, what did you go with there?

I remember you did the full restoration on your original equipment tail lights. I will try and find that post, as it had a lot of good info. with new washers, bulbs, etc. Good to hear those bulbs are still going strong.

Luc the driving lights were given to me by a friend, so? I rarely use them now that I have Matts awesome easy to install JW Speaker headlights. Probably the best mod to date.I did all my ceiling and interior closet lights 7-8 yrs ago. I put LED lights in all the exterior bays. I have LED bulbs for my gauges but it hasn’t made to the top of the list yet.

Yes, everything is running well. Regarding the Tail lights, I like the looks of the stock setup, so swapping out the whole assembly was a no-go for me.

That’s great to hear!
Looking forward to getting the new headlights installed, just have had waay to many projects going before the weather changes to winter. Like you, I will also be swapping out the incandescent bulbs everywhere else for the LED. Anything that will make the battery use more efficient.

Mike! What LED’s did you use for the dash lights? I believe they are 24v? That’s the only one’s I have not changed out

I did an extensive post on it, i will go back and see if i can find it. My dash lights are 12 VDC.

Where did you get your cargo lights from? I can’t seem to find those. Hoping I can do all 14 for less than the $50/ea options.
The LED festoon bulbs I have now flicker. I wish I could find a good bulb as my housings and rubbers are in great shape. These are what I bought, rated 9-30V. They have good reviews but all for 12V applications.
