I’m dry camping at Detroit Deisel in Ocala, per TRUK’s suggestion, to do an overhead and bracket upgrade.

It’s been a couple months since dry camping, so I’ve gone “pole-to-pole” without setting my inverter to “Absorption” for 3 hours, per the Trace manual.

After four hours with the generator charging the batteries, the inverter was still in Absorption vs. switching over to “Float,” so I set the Absorption rate down to 2.5 hours, and it kicked into Float. Before I set the Absorption rate down to 2.5 hours, the batteries were at 14.2V.

The batteries are four years old and I can dry camp with them for about 12-hours (No A/C’s) before I need to turn on the generator.

Does this sound fairly normal or is it a sign that the batteries are taking longer to fully charge?
