Don’t believe the “They all slobber out the drain tubes”. Bought mine with 50,000 miles on it and never spit a drop and I use high idle all the time when sitting. That was 6 years worth of ownership. Start of the new year when new bus barn got built here in Central Texas drove it over and noticed the drops when I went to check OTR for freon. Got worse on 2 or 3 shorts trips and everytime. Last trip home from granddaughter (125 miles) blew a gallon out. Replaced Check vavles on drain tubes even though they were okay and still blowing in out the tubes. Took to Stewart Stevenson/ San Antonio and they rebuilt blower, set rack and that fixed oil blowby. They don’t blow unless they are getting old/worn out or some other problems. Mine was the blower seal. A little over 87,000 miles now and no leaks on engine. Never have washed motor and still silver.

Hi guys,So far no puddles and I too use high idle. I always run on high idle for the first 10 minutes of starup as I do my walk around. I’ve not noticed oil on the engine either and people who have seen the engine compartment mentioned how clean it is.
When I went to Clark Power Services in Knoxville there was a 91 Wonderlodge there and I couldn’t believe the difference. Its engine bay was dirty with rust in multiple areas and looked like a mess! My bus will never look that way!

That’s a nice engine for sure, but where did you get it? It can’t be on your 01 Vantare. When I was visiting Clarke Power Service in Knoxville, there was a picture of an 8V92 with a beautiful young lady in a bikini sitting on it. Where did you put that young lady in the bikini?
Here’s a picture of my 8V92TA Silver and lets not start a fight about mine’s bigger than yours!

Will try. Got them all on Photobucket and they have tuned into Nazi’s and have to pony up a few hundred bucks to post with them. Maybe wifey will show me how to download to puter. Only thing I know about puters is if it don’t turn on. I’m toast. I’ll just drive it up and show you HJ.
