  • High Idle quit working

Posted by John on July 19, 2019 at 7:17 am

Can’t help that I’m being a bit lazy here but can someone suggest

where I start chasing to find the reason my high idle quit working.

It’s just too darn hot for a wild goose chase right now. And while we’re at it

the indirect rope lighting in the salon went on vacation too.

But aahh the a/c is blowing cold!

once upon a time I had a Liberty that the high idle failed. It turned out to be the throttle position sensor. Fairly easy fix after you get the new one. Have you tried to accelerate with the foot pedal? Good Luck.

The park brake light is on then goes off when I turn on the hi idle switch.

Sorry it took me a bit to come back to this. Life got in the way

High idle needs to see park brake signal…therefore if the light goes out when you turn high idle on, then it is either the pressure switch or a wiring issue…maybe ground…

I had this problem in the recent past and I have posted the link to the thread below. I doubt that my problem will be your problem, but there may be some information in the thread to help you. Bear in mind that some of the information I posted early on was incorrect and I discovered that later on.
