HI PS Is BS!
Holy Moly can a sista have a vacay without HI PS?
Still haven’t gotten the mid rear AC fixed and now the front cruise air is given me HI PS!
Thought we had the mid rear diagnosed with Fred but it ended up being something else (we think). Part didn’t make it before we left.
Also, our hose reel is possessed. We let it out turn it off. And in the off position it starts winding itself in! What in the world would cause that? I think it’s that lil switch behind the door. Thoughts?

Assuming the problem is heat, hot pavement, you can cool the pavement by running a hose under the bus and that will solve the problem. Since the bus is providing shade, once you cool it off you should be good.
Welcome to the world of Cruiseairs, happens all the time on some vintage conversions while driving with extreme heated pavement.

As a general rule the condenser coils on Cruiseairs should be kept clean. It may require getting access from beneath the coach, but anything that plugs or coats the coils will make it difficult to cool the refrigerant. The second thing is keep the coach out of tal grass, and especially do not lower it down when the temps are high because that has an impact on air flow.

I agree with Jon on not lowering coach. It can cause the hot exhaust air from the condenser to not be able to escape from under the bus, as well as it should. Plus, may be sucked back into the condeser coil on the other side too.
AAP sells rubber ducts to direct the exhaust air out of the condesers under neath the bus, and away from the intake.

there is a rubber scoop under there that was on the coach when we bought it. I guess it’s just angry.

We are here until the 5th or so. It’s a tricky drive to get here but so worth it! Took a boat ride up to Kimberling City today we were on the water for about 10 hours. Just gorgeous! It’s 5:55am and it’s raining. I hope it’s just God’s morning shower and then it’s over!

Ok, today we went to bus in storage. Started the gen so we could run ACs. The bus is at the highest level. I lay under the coach to look to see if there is any blockage. NONE.
Butch lays under while I turn on AC. He says the air is so hot coming out of that rubber scoop he can’t leave his hand there.
It runs, cyles, then when it runs again. I get HI PS.
So is it freon?

Is there a certain direction that rubber scoop should be pointed? ours is pointing to the left(when looking at the coach)

The scope points to the side is fine…HI PS is typically charge of the unit, or air flow across the condensing unit and it sounds like you have the air movement…

DING DING DING! Jeff you were correct. As my husband described it our front unit was wearing a sweater! It was restricted by a bunch of funk!
