  • Hello all, newbie here.

Posted by Archived on January 30, 2015 at 6:12 pm

As the title shows, we’re new to Prevost ownership. We bought ours privately from a gentleman in Rapid City who owned and cared for it for twenty years.

I’ve been reading the forums here and have picked up many tips. As has been mentioned here, first time coach ownership has a steep learning curve, to say the least. I’m a farmer, so I have a pretty good mechanical background and we have close friends that have an 02 Marathon that I’m leaning on for knowledge.

The coach is being updated at the moment with new hardwood floors, tv’s, in motion satelite, rear and side cameras, and a bunch of other stuff the Redhead has declared we need! When we get it ready to roll, I’ll post some pic’s.

Welcome Dan and Judy, nothing sounds like that 8V92…

Congratulations on purchasing your CC and we encourage you to ask questions and post often.

Thanks Tom, but this one has the 60 series in it. I have a 94 Kenworth T600 that has the same engine, great motor.

    Dan,

That must have been right at the change over years, my 94 Liberty was an 8V92. Is your tranny a 5 speed?

Matter of fact, it is a 5 speed. The previous owner actually preferred the 5 to the 6, less to go wrong. He owned a John Deere dealership in Aberdeen SD and adheared to the KISS system.lol

Hey Peter, I see you’re based out of Wheatland, we have a vacation home in the Snowy’s just outside of Centennial. We spend the winters here snowmobiling and part of the summer when we’re not farming back in Iowa.
