I was pleasantly surprised to find my height at 12′ 10″ to the highest point (top of sat dome). I also found out all you H guys have been keeping a secret at how easy they are to wash. So far I really like all this H stuff.

    Tom,

Did you measure that yourself? Seems low.. My 07 is 13’4″ to the same spot… I didn’t actually measure it but that is what Leon told me and so far I haven’t hit anything on the roof except for 3 of my 4 awning sensors but those were stupid trees that were unavoidable…

    Tom…

So glad you are liking the H… Ours is 12’10” also and our Vantare has a camera door just like yours only ours is still a camera.

I can wash and dry our H in 2 hours flat… when it isn’t really filthy… only done it a few times… but I can imagine it’s easier that the Stainless.

    Cheers, Diane

We just had this same conversation with Liberty Coach and I was told that we’ll be at 13′ 4″. I thought all ‘H’s’ would be about the same in height. The interstates/freeways are set at a minium of 13 6″. So, we’ll just squeeze under. A miss is as good as a mile as they say.

Interstate highway overpasses are 16 ft 5 inches and Urban areas are required to be 14 ft.

13.6 is the max legal height of vehicles to travel without permits.

To the top of the raised roof I’m 12′ 4″. To the top of the extendable UHF/VHF antenna I’m 12′ 10.5″, and to the top of my KVH in-motion dish I’m 13′ 4″. I express my condolences to the, shall I say, more vertically challenged folks out there. 🙂

It’s at ride height and a long carpenters level was held on top the sat dome then measured to the ground. There is a recess in the roof of about 4′ in the rear ahead of the spoiler, so the sat dome sets down inside this recess. The batwing antenna is mid coach and still appears to be at or below the dome height.

    Hi Tom,

I envy your recessed KVH dome mount. Here’s what mine looks like. I measured down from my 16′ garage ceiling:

My 1991 is 13’3″ to the top the roof airs that are 9 1/2″ tall. This was measured with a carpenter level and a surveyor pole. My dish sits in the recess on the front of the bus so it is lower than the ACs.

This is the rear recess I mentioned. After seeing David’s finished garage, I’m envious…
