Heating coach
Peter here what’s the best way to heat coach parked in shop 50 amp power water still in coach electric hot water on live in Wyoming can get cold here I see coach every day bay electric heat on just wondering what other people would do did not want to winterize it just asking other people’s ideas thanks

When our Royale is at home in Colorado in the winter we use the electric heater Royale installed in the water tanks area plus the three toe kick heaters. We also turn on the electric heat element in the Aqua Hot and set all three zone thermostats at about 40 to 45 degrees. Have had no problems in the seven years we have had the coach.
The best way is the southern part of Arizona for the coldest part of winter which is what we are doing now.

do u have water in the coach do u need to turn on water pump once a day and turn tape on let some water run to keep hat water up to snuff some one said to put heat ex on the bay heat from the aqua hot I have not turned on the one that’s in Celsius

Larry’s advice is dead on. The thermostat that is in celsius located in the port plumbing bay runs the aqua-hot bay heater on the starboard side water bay. After talking to Peter, I learned that you have to have the heat exchanger button on the dash set to the “on” position and this also heats the engine. So with the electric water heater on and coach thermostats set low, coach and bays are kept warm. There is always the electric heater mounted in the port plumbing bay as well.

hi Tom not sure why the heat ex on dash needs to be on still it heats motor but I think heat exchanger above aqua hot for bay heat the one in metric is hooked to bathroom temp it works of that I think still thinking it has its own temp setting but I think the motor in aqua hot for this is hooked to the same line as bathroom

I am not sure how your Royale is set up. Mine the aquahot and tanks are all in the same bay. The heat from the aquahot being on electric goes a long way in keeping the bay warm. Mine has a heat exchanger in the bath loop with no fan. There is a ththermostat in the bay with the sewer drain that operates a fan that moves air across the bay. In my plastic coach days I was assured the aquahot can be fired with all the domestic water drained.
