Headlamp replacement on 2000 XLII
Driving my 2000 Prevost XLII at night is dangerous due to poor visibility. I called Prevost parts to order new glass to replace the dulled square OEM headlamp inserts. I found out the headlamps in my bus are no longer available and an upgrade to the round style is necessary. I have looked at the upgrade kit offered by Dalvin Pirtle in TN. Has anyone converted to his new headlamps? Did you go with the halogen or LED? Are they brighter than the OEM headlamps? If LED, do the lenses freeze over in the winter due to less heat from the LED bulb?

There have been multiple posts ranging from upgrading the rectangular Ford style lights (which such) to the newer small round style to an LED bulb option.

One of our advertisers, plus I would search posts on the topic. Some current style upgrades have been done by folks we are uncomfortable mentioning, others have been well done.
Your best bet is to do a little research and pick what might work best for you.

I installed Matthew Valentine’s led units and really pleased with them. You can look up a knats but 100 feet in front of you.

I replaced the bulb with LED`s great improvement. A lot cheaper then replacing whole assembly.
