Have you stayed at Pipestem Park in Princeton, WV
Im looking to spend a couple nights at Pipestem State Park just outside of Princeton, WV? They look to have a good number of pull through sites with all hookups. They also have a couple good restaurants and that’s nice as well. Two nights is $66.00 that didn’t seem too bad.Harry

Should nt even post, but Pipestem was a favorite park of mine when I was in college. That was 100 years ago. A great park then. Brings back good memories. Wish I could help with your question.
I did nt know you are from Murphy. You might as well say I am from Manteo. Over here because of Hwy 64 there is a saying “Manteo to Murphy”. As you know 64 runs the whole length of NC.
I am sure someone will know about Pipestem.

We stayed there last fall and didn’t have any problems getting in or out, I’d recommend unhooking at the campground office and taking your Toad in first to be sure that you are comfortable with your assigned site. Great 18 hole golf course and several other activities to keep you occupied. If you’re a golfer try Twin Falls too.

Harry, what’s the status of your coach? Is it fit for travel? We thought it was still up on blocks at Jeff’s? Please tell us what’s going on with your coach!

Hi Dick, The short answer is I don’t know? I sent an email to Jeff yesterday but so far no reply. I made the reservation at Pipestem thinking I’d have the bus back by then and my hope is that will be the case!I’ll let you know as soon as I do… But the picture is nice though right, I even kind of remember it! Black with orange and yellow racing stripes right?

Yes Harry, we had dinner at the McKeever Lodge/Bluestone dining room and lunch after golf at the golf course grill room, both times the food and service was excellent.

Thats great news Orren, It’s nice to know there are good places to eat close by where your staying. The last time I was at Pipestem was almost 20 years ago and all I remember is how beautiful it was! I wasn’t thinking anything about a motorhome back then but I’m happy to know they have pull through spots so I don’t have to preview my backing skills to the unsuspecting public!Harry

Just want to thank you for your information and let you know that we changed our plans and will not be taking our first planned trip at that time after all.BTW is it normal when you cancel your space at a park that you’re charged for a day, or is that unique to state parks or Pipestem? I canceled 14 days out so it surprised me a little, although after reading their confirming email that is what it said! Just curious if that’s standard for RV parks?
