Have you seen a Prevost with a front genny?
This is an 88 Prevost with what looks like a front generator… I’ve never seen a front generator on a Prevost and curious if you have? I’d think it would be pretty noisy inside the coach.

I doubt it. Probably has cruisair condensing units up there like my bus and many others.
I’ve owned many coaches with the genny up front on hyd slideouts. They were very quiet. When your sleeping in the back, you want any noise as far away as possible.

Hi Don, I was thinking the same as you but the write up says nothing about OTR and looking at both sides of the coach I don’t see any grillwork on any of the bay doors.

Harry, why not just ask the owner if his/her coach has a tiny generator hidden behind the bumper and if it is noisy?

Harry: Cruise-Airs and OTR are two completely separate systems.

I bet it is just a handle to hold on to while cleaning the windows. The lower grill work behind the bumper leads me to believe there is an inverter in the spare tire cavity. Speculation on my part.

That’s where the Cruise Air A/C units are located. My 88 has 2 A/C units there and a 3 in the engine compartment. That’s the same grill setup behind my bumper. If you don’t see an exhaust pipe coming out nearby, there’s no generator there.

Come on guys, of course I know about the generator and an OTR? My bus has both so I better. In retrospect what I should have asked is “have you seen a Prevost with a front grill like this one”? I for one never have and is what prompted my question?
On my bust the OTR is behind a louvered door and my generator is behind a bay door with louvers where the exhaust is. As I said earlier the above bus has neither of those two things. That’s why I asked the question. But no problem, it’s all good!

Are those stock Prevost turn signals just below the windshield? Or a customization?

I don’t know Dick, I really hadn’t noticed it until you mentioned it. It’s a bus for sale on RV Trader (I posted a link on an earlier post). I also didn’t see a of the conversation?

A) The turn signals are factory for a 1988.
B) I may not have been clear but that’s how the grill looks on my ’88 and certainly all Country Cocahes’s (and others) of that era. That’s where 2 Cruise-air units are located and that’s the grill they used.

Looks like mine except the bumper hasn’t been notched. For the AC’s (Cruisair’s) to pull air. From looking at the pics, That one doesn’t have OTR and looks like 2 gensets.

Harry. Your bus has notched panel behind bumper and possibly air activated louvers for your cruise airs to breath
