Has anyone had a 5 speed trans changed to auto??
Good Morning Everyone!!!
I’ve been thinking about having someone change over my 5 speed manual to automatic. 1) What automatic transmission matches up with a 8V92? My old MCI with a 871 had a ht740 allison! Is it fairly easy or difficult?? Do you all know a good mechanic who will do the change over? Thanks!

i have swapped out a manual 4 speed to a auto in a GMC4905 , it was not a bad job , i just had to do it twice …the new 10k ( for everything ) transmission with all the goodies. the new trans wasnt bad…
dont forget the mounts , drive shaft , yokes , u -joints etc….shifter , hoses , trans cooler,
i went with s stone bennit shifter electic/air …. worked great .. had that coach about 10years once i got everything in working i never had a problem
