Has anyone driven the Natchez Trace Highway ?
Haven’t found much info about the highway itself except that it’s very pretty.
Would love to know the condition of the highway etc?We will be leaving Jeff’s in Vonore and heading back to East Texas tomorrow.
Any comments much appreciated… thanks

I”m not sure you will fit. Lots of low hanging trees. No Trucks allowed so they don’t trim the trees high enough. When we had our Foretravel, we thought about it and folks told us we were too tall. We were only 12′..

We drove the northern part about 3 years ago. It was pretty, but we found it a little boring. It seemed like we were on an endless entrance to a National Park. There were some pull offs with scenic overlooks, some with trails, and historical markers. The road was in great shape and very smooth. We had no prblems with trees, but some of the pull offs were a bit tight.

It is not motorhome friendly. As stated above, very low hanging trees, narrow and not many places to pull over.
Not sure motorhomes are even allowed. Check with the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Can’t really see much.

I did some more checking and found out that the speed limit is 50mph and the overall length for an RV and toad is 55′ so that’s out for sure… I think it would get boring fast too !!
I am ready to get home too !!

I drove it from Tupelo to Natchez a couple of years ago in my XL and found it to be very coach friendly. I stopped in the National Park office in Tupelo before starting to make sure it would accommodate my coach and the ranger said go for it. Great ride.
