  • Halogen light units for the ceiling

Posted by Archived on June 7, 2012 at 8:52 pm

I am thinking of replacing mine with the new LEDs, which aren’t just a bulb but a whole unit. If so, I will have almost 40 of the halogens left over. Is there any value to them and, if so, how much and how could I sell them?

When I made the switch over to LED’s I left the old Halogen’s in place. Mainly because I could see no market for them and about the only outlet to sell them would be on bus boards or Ebay/Craiglist. With LED’s currently taking over the market, I can’t see them selling quickly but it might be worth a try.

You never know what the other guy is looking for right?

I would put them on the Flea Market Ed, you’ll get lots of exposure.

These LEDs are whole unit replacements for the halogens. I would really like to get rid of them for less heat production and less power draw.
