Greensboro NC Recommendation?
The title says it all. I am looking for an easy overnight near downtown. There is a KOA there, but review sound like it is very tight, gravel/mud, and unlevel sites.

John, there is a large mall and conference center at I-40 with Wendover Avenue. If you are just looking for overnight parking you might look there. I don’t remember the name of the mall but the convention center is Koury Convention Center. Maybe look them up on the internet and ask management about accomodations.

Thanks. I also got a lead on the coliseum. They may even have electric and sewer.

The coliseum is also on High Point Road, toward downtown from I-40. I ‘d suggest you make contact and make sure they don’t have an event on during your dates. They have lots of musical concerts which bring Prevost coaches for crew and entertainer. They also have the ACC Basketball tournament in early March. On the plus side there is a very good, and popular Eastern NC Bar-B-Que restaurant across the street form the coliseum. Just watch out when crossing High Point Road as NC drivers are not known for being pedestrian friendly!
Any of these events may consume the available hook up spots. The shopping and convention area would likely have space available for dry camping. All services, restaurants, shopping, etc would be available at your doorstep.
