Going to Alaska
We have been thinking about heading to Alaska this summer, and would be interested in hearing of others that have taken the trip in their Prevost. Any issues with highways or finding places to park overnight?

It is a great trip! We did it on our own last summer and had a great time. If you are ok with boondocking a few times getting from point to point no problem. Larger towns there is no problem for sites and 50 amp. Dawson City and Top of the World great drive and beautiful. No problem with road, a couple of rough sections in construction.

We took the trip to Alaska two summers ago. We spent about 5-6 weeks in Alaska and then took the ferry out of Haines to Bellingham, WA. Amazing experience. I would be happy to discuss it with you as well. We took the trip from TOK Alaska on the Top of the world thru Chicken to Dawson with our Toad and I would NOT do that based on what we experienced in our Toad… but it could be better now… but even if it was a lot better I still would not take that trip with a bus….and not sure I would take it again with the toad.
We stayed in a campground every night. I would guess a bit less than 50% of them didn’t have 50 amp but we made it work. Several were tighter than I would have liked but I didn’t hit anything so we we made it work. No w having been there once I would totally boondock and just run the geny if/as needed.

We also want to do Alaska … most likely 2017, so post your experiences if you get up there this summer.

We too are thinking of a trip to Alaska in 2017. It will be the first summer we are both retired. Hope to talk with some who have gone already, maybe at a rally.

I have made the trip 10 times hope to make it 10 more , I have done clinics all the way up that road and to the west of the road 2 to 3 hours it is great , I never stayed in a Rv park just dry camped

I recall the gentleman who introduced me to Prevost’s and is wife went on an Alaskan Adventure with his coach. It was an organized caravan. Anyone have experiences with that kind of a deal?
