getting to the engine access cover in a Marathon
first picture shows drawer structure which traps the L shape cover. I removed all the screws from sides bottom and top of structure but it will move an inch out then is stuck. Any help appreciated.

got it out only after finding numerous gotcha’s.
wire harnesses attached on both outboard sides hidden in the back
ty wrap blocks attached to outboard sides
screw on top section of frame going up into structure above chrome trim, hidden under upper drawer catch.
You have to remove screws from all four sides of the drawer structure that attaches to remaining structure. This includes the center divider between drawers

John, I have an XLII 01, had the over head run and there was enough clearance to remove valve cover with out messing with interior. I have the trans retarder, no jake.. it was a little unhandy for the mechanic but he got it done

The Jakes sit on top of the valve arms. they are large and incredibly heavy.
made the 36 clearance adjustments and it started right up. Held my breath for a bit!
It was easier to get to the valves,injectors and jakes from the inside for #3,4,5,6
than from the rear. #6 from rear seems very difficult.
