Generator Question
Hey Everyone,
Question on my generator I have the Power Tech 20Kw but don’t have the correct manual because it only lists the PTS MH 7.8, 10, and 15. But not sure if its much difference on in the step up but more along the lines of output. My question is on the gen radiator there is what looks to be a bleed port with a hose attached running along with the large hose that goes through the back of the bay bulkhead. Just wondering if anyone has this same setup and knows what this bleed port does. Just wondering if it should be closed or open, currently it is open. I have pics attached.

Well…..This isn’t exactly like my old PT generator, but I suspect it’s a radiator air drain. My generator was notorious for air in the cooling system which needed to be purged occasionally. I suspect you get her hot, then open up the valve and purge any air that is in the system.
