  • Generator Interface Board

Posted by Larry on July 21, 2017 at 3:14 pm

I’ve been unable to start the generator on my 1994 Prevost Liberty so my mechanic has been contact with Liberty and there’s a part that needs replaced. It’s a High Current Interface Board 1003HCI-PCB Revision 3.0. Anyone out there had a similar issue? Liberty says that parts not manufactured any longer. Thanks

    Larry,

Are You talking about the Watchdog board. I went for about 2 years having to go out to the electrical bay and by-pass My watchdog to start My gen. And would have to go out to stop it as well. You cannot buy a replacement. Not sure if this is the same board You are talking about. But it is worth a shot.

There is a control board inside of the watchdog that has a spare fuse in it for starting. You will have to take the watchdog out of the bay and get it on a table and replace the fuse with the spare. If someone in the past has not already used the spare. Look at F5 and F6 in the diagram.

Mr Bill Doughtery from Liberty Mission control in Chicago sent Me this diagram a few years back. And I was able to get my watchdog going again. He also was very helpful another time when I had to replace the Groco water pump in My bay. I had a mobile RV mechanic replace it, Direct replacement I mind You . Same , Same. And the yoyo’s wired it wrong. Mr Doughtery spent a good 20-30 minutes on the phone helping us get it straightened out. Kudos to Mr Doughtery !
