  • Generator has Covid

Posted by George on April 3, 2020 at 8:50 pm

Yesterday generator started right up and ran smoothly. Turned on all the 110 items in coach and let run for 20 minutes.

Today started generator and had no 110 power to coach. shut down generator and connected shore power and had all 110 operating as normal.

Shutdown shore power and tried to restart generator and it started and shut down and resumed power and did that for about a minute then started to run normally but no 110 voltage. Shutdown and reapplied shore power 110 came back normally. Disconnected shore power and attempted to start generator again the generator went through a series of run stopping and restarting about 3 second run 1 second of shutting down restarting to run and finally coming to normal RPM.

Checked voltage to main breaker and neither had voltage.

Looking for ventilator for this condition

Might be like my old one here. Thought mine was transfer switch as it would drop voltage,,, cooling fans would loose juice and gen set would overheat and shut down. Replaced transfer switch and still the same. Think mine is Voltage regulator on gen set or what they telling me. Have to pull mine out to get to it. Ughh.
