    Generator Battery

    The generator battery is mounted in engine compartment behind the chassis batteries and the negative cable goes to the frame but the positive runs up to the second compartment from front where house batteries are mounted and a power center. The positive cable must be 18 to 20 foot long and 20 plus years old, The generator starts slower that I would like. I was thinking about putting generator next to house batteries with a new cable? I would think that would help? I have a newer red top Optima battery for generator what do you guys think?? Or does the Kubota gen motor not crank fast?
