Gen Starter Issue
Hello everyone. I have a 2002 Royale with PowerTech gen. If I start the generator with the Gen Start switch at the dash the starter intermittently continues to engage after the generator is running, thus burning out the starter. However, if I start the generator from the switch in the gen bay, don’t have the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Check the switch, see if it is sticking.

Thanks for the reply. Turned out Royales have a sensor that tells the dash switch that the flywheel is turnning so don’t try to re-start the generator. Kind of an off the wall problem I think. The sensor was around $80 The starter I burned out was a bit more!
