Gauges acting up
This one could be hard to find I think,99 Feahterlite Vantare XL11, when I turn on the headlights all the instruments move up, the heat goes from 195 to over 205 so first experience with this I thought I was overheating a little as the engine stays at a constant 195 until I turn on the lights. I haven’t checked anything yet, seems like a bad ground or something any suggestions, thanks in advance

If/when you find a fix, please share. Our coach has analog gauges (a great many CC of our vintage have the digital Silverleaf dash), and exibits the same symptoms. All analog dash gauges increment up by about 15-20 degrees when headlights are turned on. I also run a Silverleaf VMSpc setup on a small laptop. No such jump in the digital VMSpc readings, so I’ve simply discounted the change in the dash analog gauges. Dash gauges otherwise seem stable, so not anything I’ve prioritized. We don’t drive at night much, and try to avoid driving in rain as well, so it’s an issue that I’ve relegated to the bottom of the squawk list.

At one time Prevost had a service bulletin calling for a change in the wiring to the headlights on XL coaches. I do not think it applied to later model XL coaches, but it was because putting the headlights on caused a drop in voltage on the 12V side of things.
It would be worth measuring voltage to any of the analog gauges with the headlights off and seeing if there is a voltage drop when they are on. It could be an indication of an issue likely related to a poor connection and voltage drop, like a bad ground.
