So here I am Friday leaving Wilsonile OR for California half a tank of diesel motoring along stretching my distance waiting for a Love’s to come along. Bingo 15 miles out. Pull in lean the bus to get the max in, run the card “fuel premit no. ?” skp or enter. Skip. “cancel transaction? yes or no” No. “fuel permit no.?” here we go around and around. Take the card to the counter and they run it ‘never seen one of these” Card showing “elapsed better call the card issuer”. I leave, they wanted 5 cent more an gallon to use a credit card on top of their price of 3.95/gal. I call FTS number on back of card they gal on the phone can find any record of either of my two cards. Called Profit Tools not open until Monday. Great service NOT.

    Greg,

Any chance you used the wrong card, one will not work at Love’s and is for fueling at other than Love’s stops.

I sent an email to Alicia before my rant here and I got a nice phone this morning informing me that she has activated my cards. I didn’t know they needed to activated.

Tom you are right about the fuel card, does feel like stealing not so much the price, but the fact you do everything at the pump and no reciept. I pulled out looking in in my side mirrors expecting to see someone running after me, maybe a police car down the road.

I activated the cards yesterday. I look on Loves web site to figure fuel stops. Its nice to be able to go looong distances in between fueling. Lower half of the eastern US is the place to fuel up with much better fuel prices. I figured I’ll save between $80. and $100 this winter when traveling. Good thing because that will allow me to have the money for a light upgrade and keep up with the Jones. Rick

Look at the fuel savings this way………it is the equivalent to getting a free Happy Meal with every fill up.

How can you beat a deal like that?

Greg – Glad you got it all sorted out, I think I would pay .10 per gallon just for the convenience.

Rick – Try Profit Tools map for PC. It’s setup in regions and shows every stop in their system.
