  • Fuel gauge stuck on full

Posted by Thomson on August 24, 2017 at 4:55 pm

Over time the fuel gauge has become less and less reliable. It is now pretty much stuck pinned to full. The DDEC claims to monitor fuel consumption. Can I rely on it? Also, how much $ am I looking at to fix the gauge?

    Thanks!

sender is located on top fuel tank passanger side. Access thru plate behind swing out condenser upper left in that compartment. DDEC has nothing to do with dash guage. Remove either wire from rear of guage and it should go to E if guage is good. Ground resistance is measured thru in tank sensor/sender.If wire is grounded between guage and sender it will read as full. If you feel more comfortable and the access cover is easier -just disconnect the wire on top sender and that should tell you where the problem is.
