FUEL DISCOUNT PROGRAM SNEAK PEEK

More to report on the fuel discount program.
We expect the fuel program application will be completed today. Tom and I will be receiving it and if we return it to the program administrator our discount duel cards will be overnighted to us so we can start testing the program.
Assuming everything works as planned and our testing goes without a hitch we will be looking for about 10 members to participate in the next phase of the test. We are looking for members who are currently using their coaches and who will be fueling as soon as they receive their cards. Details regarding fueling locations will be made available in advance of the second phase of the test program.
Just so everyone is aware security systems are not yet in place to assure safety and privacy for the personal information required on the fuel discount program application which is required by the administrator so in the initial stages we all might be filling out the applications and faxing or mailing them to the program administrator. As soon as the on-line security is in place the application can be filled out on line.
This is exciting because this is a brand new program exclusively for Prevost Community members. Remember the success of the program depends on participation by all members. Spread the word.
If you are using your coach or planning on using your coach soon and want to participate in the limited test let us know. We will contact you as soon as the program administrator is ready to expand the test. The limit will be 10 and we want to select those who will be making the most use of the program in the shortest period of time so if you don’t not mind let us know when you will be fueling up and approximately how many times.
Just so you are aware the program will assess you a $10 service fee for fuel quantities less than 100 gallons so you may want to adjust your fueling practices if you normally take on less than 100 gallons. If we have not made it public before the second phase of the test we will reveal to the ten testers where to get the 10 cent discounts.

Jon, I was in Florida in June, Michigan In July also Canada and New York and Vermont, Will be in Maine the first of Sept with you guys, Georgetown SC middle of the month RI the last of the month and then on to Branson, again with you guys so I am using a lot of fuel, I usually fuel at Pilot or Flying J. I believe these buses are like boats if you do not use them they give more trouble than one that is used often. Gary

We have been out since june, thought we would head to the barn before leaving for all the Oct rallys but now looks to be staying out till the end of Oct and that means paying royaly for the privledge of haveing fun, so I,m game. Bill

Thanks guys. We need a few more volunteers, especially anyone that will be racking up the miles because this is a test.
For those who might participate let me share some information about the program. What I will list below is subject to change but for now is pretty accurate. The 10 cent discount is with a national chain of truck stops with hundreds of locations. We expect that will be the favored stop for members once the plan is in effect so we would encourage the testers to visit those locations.
The 5 cent discount is at about 5000 other locations and we also would like the test to include the truck stops there as well. The discounts are from posted cash prices so for trip planning you will have access to the listing of those locations.
The cards (one for the 10 cent location, one for all others) will turn on the pump after you swipe them and put in your PIN or code. You need to put that on your application. On your application you must provide your checking account number and routing number because that is how the program administrator will draw down the funds to pay for the fuel. The application will require a credit card number as well to guarantee the funds. Our program administrator does not want to be exposed to any risk and we totally support that concern. Funds will be withdrawn almost immediately after a fuel purchase and there is a limit of $800 of fuel purchases per day. Fuel purchases of less than 100 gallons will be subject to a $1 service fee. The application will require a $25 fee for processing and to verify both the checking account and credit card account viability. All of the above is preliminary. The formal program rules will be posted as soon as everything is finalized.

I am adding your name to the volunteers. There are some refinements Tom and I have found with the program, and we still need to check how the cards work ourselves, but once that is done this week (early I hope) we will see that volunteers who are going to be buying fuel get the program application and can begin the next phase of the test.
If you are still in the Prouds or any other group spread the word about the program. EVERY Prevost enthusiast is welcome and encouraged to register and apply for the program which needs purchasing volume to succeed.

That’s too bad, but I suspect word of mouth at their Nashville rally will make members aware. All POG members are welcome to register here (for free) and take full advantage of the fuel discount program.
A 10 cent a gallon fuel savings is not something that can be kept secret for very long unless a Prevost enthusiasts does not participate in any activities or on the internet with other Prevost enthusuasts.

Most are registered here, but some will never disclose the fact they read this site everyday. Too bad, the upcoming fuel discount along with our Napa program is a no brainer.
Cmon you POG guys who haven’t registered yet, we won’t tell Jamie and you can enjoy saving money with the rest of us.

If this phase of the test could use a volunteer who will not begin fueling for a month or so, sign me up. I’ll be driving clear across the country, but not until late September. If not, I look forward to coming aboard for the next phase.
