I use it and like it. The magnets are very strong so they help suck it into place when they are close to each other. Wrap it on a swim noodle when stored. Not for people with a pacemaker.

Best investment ever… we just should have done it sooner… we never close our front blinds in the daytime anymore..It cuts the heat unbelievably… especially in an H… easy to install and a super company to deal with. I am thinking of getting them for the long side windows by the door too.

Worth the investment.

There is no doubt screens help a lot, but you will have a huge benefit if you also consider getting rid of privacy shades with black towards the outside of the coach because they act like solar panels and transmit a lot of heat into the coach on those times you want to keep the sun out, but do not want to put up screens.

I have not, but I did repair the shade next to the driver when it came from the roll and it wasn’t too hard. Too long ago to remember the details but I did have to remove it from the coach and rewind the entire shade.

The reason I have not changed them is after suffering with the excessive heat in the front of our 97 due to the use of black privacy shades I would not accept our 2006 coach when we bought it unless the shades were a light color. Liberty changed them before we picked it up to a light tan and the difference is huge.

Dick I changed mine from white back to black b/c I never liked the way the white looked. It wasn’t hard, you will see what pieces have to come down to access the roller motors, they come down with a quarter turn. Just wrap the new material on with new tape and roll them back up. You may have to have an extra hand to help set the limits if you cant reach the button and limit switch at the same time. All 4 of mine took about 2.5 hours.

Another option is to have a screen made that snaps onto the factory sun visors (the ones that come halfway down the windshield on guides) then run the visors back up. The bottom of the screen will snap down near the dash. Running the visors back up will make the screen tight. Liberty started doing this sometime around 08 or 09 I think so people no longer had to attach the screen to the outside using a ladder. The new ones have screens that run all the way down to the dash.

I really like my Magna Shade. No snaps, ladders and no holes in my front cap.

I found an idea at the Newell Guru No Rally Rally this year. Take four 1/2 inch foam pipe insulation sticks and insert them equally across the windshield between the shade and the glass. This provides an air space between the hot material and the glass really reducing the heat transfer to the windshield and therefore into the coach.

If the foam extends below the bottom of the shade, just cut to size. Can not see it is there from outside with minimal intrusion to the view from inside.

You can slip the reflective sun screens on the glass side of your black shades. Take a large reflective rv screen and cut to fit each window and side window in the front. Number with a marker and store behind the drivers seat if not in use.
