Front Slide Room Problem, pins not unlocking
Just arrived in Deming, NM, where we would be staying for 2 nights before moving on to the outskirts of Tucson, AZ.
I have been on the phone with the guys at USA Luxury Coaches in Clearwater and they had me try a few things. They think it could be a faulty vacuum switch.
The rear slide works fine. We can live with this front slide problem for a little bit. Although, the slide being in, it is blocking access to our liquor cabinet … 🙁
Anybody happens to know someone between here and Tucson that works on slides?

Prevost slides had several iterations and I believe all share the characteristic of requiring the seal to be vacuumed (deflated) before the pins will retract.
I am not sure of your generation of slide so my strong advice is to contact Prevost and let them walk you through the process of manually retracting the slide pins. I suggest this so you can continue to use the coach while only having the slight inconvenience of manually deflating the seals and then turning a “screw” on the valve that retracts the pins allowing you to use the pendant (if so equipped) to run the slide in and out.
I would NOT accept any advice from anyone other than Prevost technical people because if pins fire at any time other than when the slide is fully retracted the cost of the damage can be substantial.

After trying it one more time, with Gabi’s sensitive fingers on the out button, it worked!
The symptoms appear to be pointing to sticky vacuum switch.
We will find out in 2 days when we leave here on our way to the Catalina State Park in Tucson where we will stay for 1 week.
