Front bumper
Posted by Marius on January 17, 2015 at 8:47 amHello all,
Trying to figure out if the front bumper on a 98 Liberty is hinged and supposed to open up to get to the AC units and stuff behind there
?
Is there a hidden latch or not all coaches have a bumper that is hinged and opens ?
Thanks.

Marius,
I just realized from the photos you have a very special Liberty that is clearly unlike the typical Liberty. Not a criticism, but something you should be very much aware of when seeking advice.
When a person says Liberty or Marathon or Country Coach or Millennium those of us familiar with the different converters form a mental image of the layout, systems, and locations of various devices. Those of us who will answer your questions need to be reminded of your particular layout. I’m guessing that was the Randy Travis bus and because of the side entry door it is probable locations of things like your AC units are not going to be standard.

open up the service bay. There is probably a green handle – pull on that and your bumper will flip down.

I looked- no handle in the service bay…..maybe I need to remove the 2 big bolts upfront before it flips down ?

The XL front bumper is held with the 1 1/2″ bolts on a Liberty.

Thanks Fred – it’s my kids favorite thing to play with
when we drive through tunnels. -
My front bumper is lowered and raised by air actuated cylinders. In service bay under driver is a brass 4 way air valve.
