From left to right my coach is typical rivet model Liberty. Cruise Air evaporator for front AC, TV (old style CRT) behind black plexiglass, cabinet for various video and audio system controls, tank level sensors, and CD player, and extreme RH cabinet over door is shallow for maps, etc.

In our future will be the switch to a flat screen HDTV, but it will be small like our current TV (19″ I think) and will remain fixed and out of sight behind the plexiglass until we turn it on. We do not spend a lot of time viewing TV when we are using the coach so having a bigger screen is not important. I also am avoiding things that add complexity so having a drop down TV is not important to us either, although for those wanting a bigger screen that may be the only option.

I have seen replacements of older TV’s with larger new ones in which the owners surface mounted the flat screen TVs over the cabinet section dedicated to the original TV and I guess I don’t even want to know my TV is there until I turn it on so we won’t be doing that.

I have two cabinets with a flat panel area between them over the mid coach. There are also two 6″ deep cabinets mounted along the side of the coach, one over the driver and one over the entrance door. I can take some pics tomorrow and send if you would like. They aren’t finished but the carcus is there and would give you the idea.

I had a similar philosophy
when we replaced our plexiglass covered CRT TV with a flat screen. Covering an LED/LCD with smoked plexiglass
would decrease the brightness. We
mounted a LED flat screen flush with the surrounding plexiglass such that the
TV blends in. The plexiglass was cut
with saws and routers, and glued with contact cement, just like Formica. The edges were sanded and polished. But, it took detail work to get
equal gaps around the TV to look like the other door gaps.

Front we decided to mostly make a display case/conservation area out of. With the slide it was a little difficult to see the tv from the couch in the slide out. So now the front above the windshield has a uphlostry back with a framed area for pictures and momentoes. This lets people know who we are and reminds us of what is important in life. Indirect lighting highlights this showcase. Also houses -hides controls for led lights and remote lighting controls for the front of our coach It is trimed in medium brown/gold/blue tweed next to a off white ceiling. Bob
