Fridge Power – Kuto’s to Marathon
OK, here’s one for you to think about…
I will be having my number one inverter removed for repairs on Monday and like most setups, the fridge is on that inverter. So how do you access the fridge plug on your conversion so you can plug into another outlet and keep the fridge going in 90 degree heat?
Go take a look at yours and identify where the power plug is located. I had a previous coach that required the fridge be removed to access the power cord. You never know, an inverter problem can surface at any time.
With my Marathon, you remove a galley drawer and there it is, easily accessed.
Plan ahead boy’s, ya never know what’s coming.

Tom, I recently had a # 1 inverter issue also . It works and then it does not work . It popes(trips) the 35 amp breaker on the inverter itself . I reset it and it works . who knows maybe just a bad breaker . But , as to your question our fridge is like yours also on the #1 inverter . To get around this issue I just set the switch to utility while I was plugged in and by passed #1 inverter . If it were to happen on the road I would need to run the genny and switch to genny but she did comeback on line so for now the issue has gone away . Seems Vantare allowed for this possible issue on there conversion . Good luck with your repair .

Doug, In the 2 nd bay there should be 2 black knobs like on a stove , sorry i cant post picks . I’m sure you have them also . I can send you a picture if you tex me 386 290 3444 .

Thats what they look like . Tom my phone will not allow the photos to be loaded to the computer . In fact I cant even get them on a stick . Then again maybe I’m just to impatient .

Can’t find those in my coach second bay anywhere as shown on the diagram and as Marathon said should be, not on any sides/walls or ceiling. This is one of the things I am stopping by Marathon, show and tell…

I hope everyone realizes that a lot of our conversions and coaches share some design features we cannot assume just because our coach has a certain feature or design the next one will share that attribute.
It is almost a guarantee there are going to be substantial differences between converters because each converter has their own way of designing systems.
Even coaches made by the same converter, including those of a similar age, can vary from one another as designs evolve.

Hi Dorel,
Your inverters hang from the ceiling in bay 2, next to them should be a box with an acrylic cover. Open it and you’ll see a switch labeled House 24v.
It’s been a few years but that should be your inverter shutoff, it resembles a knife switch more than a oven dial.
