Fresh Watertank Autofill
Our autofill kicks in at about 25% and it stops at 95%. While the low threshold is higher than I would think it should be, all in all, these settings work for us.
However, I am curious about one thing. Autofill means, that it will start-up when it reaches the threshold (that can be fun when you are in the shower … ask me why I know that).
I noticed one thing, however. If the autofill starts-up with the water pump on, which would be the case most or all of the times, it takes quite a long time for the tank to be filled. I would guess +30 minutes.
Not so, when I switch-off the water pump.
Is this anything to be concerned about or is this normal???

It depends on how Teschner set up your plumbing and someone has to see if there is some way, when the pump runs, that the water supply for filling has some back pressure.
On my coach if the tank fill valve is open while the pump is running there is no “cross” connection. The inflow to the water tank is open to the tank downstream from the fill valve. But the same water supply line ahead of the tank fill valve also is the supply line to the coach water system so the coach plumbing can function on “city” water supply with the pump off. That marriage of the coach plumbing system and the city water supply may influence the water flow to the tank when the pump is running, something I don’t know why that would be.
