Foam Insulation
I have an area in the front wheel well that needs some foam insulation,is there a particular brand that I should use,I called Prevost parts and they said just go and buy a can from a home builder store so I thought I would ask.

I think it’s common to do just that and spray it black. After a few miles it should look the same color.

That’s what I have done Jack, just foam it and add flat black spray paint.

I used the yellow stuff, old pair of cloth gloves, old wide putty knife. Use just a little on a board to get and idea of expansion of the foam, then go to the bus. Real light on the first coat letting it sit over night. Second coat had a good idea on where more was needed getting the same level as Prevost install. After setting another night used a sharp knife trimming to match existing thickness.
As posted above a coat of flat black spray paint and your first rain trip it will be an exact match.

I was talking to John at Prevost Jacksonville and they use Dow Chemical Froth-Pak and I ordered the smallest kit which was $40 on-line,he said that they found it worked better than the small cans that are sold at the home builders.The shipment will arrive this week and I should be able to do it this weekend.

Let us know how that works out, I need to do mine and sounds like a better way to go than the foam.

The Dow Froth-Pack works very well,it is easy to over do it as it expands more than I expected,compared to the Dow can product that the home builders sell the Froth-Pack cures in much less time and gun with the Froth pack can be held at any angle as long as the 2 cans are inverted.The product is cured and not tacky within 2 minutes after application.The kit comes with 3 spray nozzles and the instructions state that after 30 seconds of non use the nozzel must be replaced.
