In an effort to stay healthy and corona virus free, I just told Jon and Tom to go home.
They have been in my driveway long enough …

I hope not. That is where I have been getting our toilet paper.

Dang Jon! In all sincerity, I have witnessed hints of your sense of humor, but never to this degree! Truly laughing out loud here! Thank you – Humor sure helps in a crisis. Please keep it up…you’re definitely on a roll.
-
I suppose this “crisis” should be taken seriously, but it gets increasingly more difficult as the nation’s focus shifts from everyday issues which have not gone away, to one that has crippled the country and brought about a panic far beyond what the numbers call for.
But the good news is we apparently can’t blame it on global warming, so we pick the next best thing and divert our concerns to a toilet paper shortage which for the life of me I cannot connect with the virus.
Am I the only one to think we have lost our minds? Have turned into a nation of morons? What ever happened to common sense?
Let’s all meet at Oysterfest and collectively give the world the finger.

I deleted the part of my post about holding your breath for 10 seconds. Turns out that report was a hoax!! Please ignore and sorry for the bad info!
-
Well said Jon. It will be interesting to see what happens after this fades away and the next crisis rolls around. Will Fred add this to his list as “The great toilet paper shortage of 2020” ?
-
Jon, I am ashamed of you. I thought you were the smart one in this group.
It is simple … The shortage of toilet paper is because the Media is busy trying to SCARE the CRAP out of the populous.
Jeff, I will add the great TP shortage once I have survived the calamity. But I did forget the Zika vikrus in 2016 and the MERS in 2015, so will have to add them.

I got a message yesterday that Mr. Wipple bought a new yacht.

Hello Everyone,
I want to say this with all Due Respect to our community. What is happening now is can not be compared to H1NI or seasonal flu.
We are now in a National State of Emergency because our political leaders are now taking this seriously.
No one in the world has immunity to this virus. (this is one of the criteria making it a Pandemic)
According to White house task force, it is 10 times as deadly as the flu and up to 36 times as spread able.
If you are over 60 and have underlying conditions this could be very serious for you.
Our hospital and ERs are currently taxed to the limit with just normal critical and seasonal flu.
Yes, 80 percent of Americans who contract this will be ok, but the 20 percent that do need medical care could be in dire straights.
Please be careful out there, The White house is stressing “Social Distancing” which hopefully in a few months will get the “curve” on a downward turn.

I do indeed believe we need to take serious things seriously. I also believe I’d like to see us guided through these things with humor. Some in science believe the only time we don’t age is when we’re laughing. I don’t know if that’s true but I’d like to believe it is!
As for Jon having humor I applaud him for that and recognize its importance when dealing with this group. And have you noticed there has been no talk of dues money and have been consumed with toilet paper? Ergo… The difference between concrete and asphalt.
All Be Well,
Harry

DThomas, I was right with you in everything you said until I re-read the part where you seem to suggest that it is serious because our political leaders say it is.
With all due respect based on the collection of clowns we have elected to office, I would rather be taking advice from anyone but politicians.
-
Anybody notice that all the organic hand cleaners and sanitizers that are raved about so much are now the only thing still sitting on store shelves.
Thing that make you go, Hummmm
-
Hi Jon,
I am not pointing the fingers at anyone on my comment about our political leaders finally taking this seriously. If you look at history this seems to always be the case.
Thanks
