First trip — PCS to Washington
Pam & I are on our first real trip with the bus. We departed Tyndall AFB on Monday. We stayed 2 days at Prevost in Jacksonville. We wanted new koini shocks and a once over by the mechanics. Well, we got the shocks & a wee bit more. We got new upper, lower control arms and new tie rods. We also got the slow air leak in the engine bay diagnosed. We had a cracked brass 3 way air fitting the leads to the mini bags. The passenger tag axle air diaphragm also had a leak. All of that was fixed by the great folks there. The only item we could not fix was the power to the aft passenger side marker lights (red & amber). Seems prevost tied the side markers in series and solder points on both lamps is busted. We can’t get access to the main feed wires without pooping the rivets and pulling the panel. Being up against time we will fix in in jersey later. All the other markers and such work.
Hats off to the folks at Jacksonville. Cindy handled us up at the office and Anthony and Miguel were our techs. Everyone, the entire team was really great to deal with. I learned a heck of a lot from Anthony & Miguel. Jason did our laser alignment and was very informative on the handling of the bus. John, the supervisor, was great. We just picked their brains for as much as we could on our bus without being pests. Great folks and awesome service.
the bus rides, tracks and steers totally different. It’s like a completely new bus. Strait as an arrow and smooth as butter on the road. No more sawing the wheel and death grip when passing slower 18 wheelers on the highway. What a difference. I am running 120 up front, 110 on the duals and 120 on the tags. Well above mins for our weight and the ride is very good. We drove from jax to willow tree RV resort north of myrtle beach (very nice, very serene and well laid out) we will return. Saw my nephews family and new baby. Pressed north today. Stopped in Wilmington to see the Battleship North Carolina (impressive) then drove to virginia. Tonight we are camped at Fort AP Hill. Tommorow we go to Fort Belvoir as it will be home station until Pam retires.
Bus runs great, rides great and is a pleasure to drive (not so a pleasure when filling the fuel tank 🙁 Other than that, we Love our bus! Happy trails and thanks to one and all for inputs and advice as we keep learning from this forum.

Dave and Karen here and we are newbies and don’t regret a thing about being a Prevost owner, and a part of PC. The members here are full of great information and have helped us learn so much about the bus, and the new lifestyle we love. I sure wish I could retire and hit the road, hopefully a few more years….since Jon has so much knowledge of Diesel engines and such, I think he would be a good buyer of my trucking company!!! We are at Sunset Beach NC for the weekend in our version of the Hilton!

I agree with you Jon, but besides customers, employees -there is one more problem — the goverment!
My next business will somehow be less those three – Send money!

The government was my silent partner. When times were bad the government assumed no risk and did not have any potential for loss. But when times were good the government never hesitated to share in the profits.
Just once I would like to see politicians figure out a way to keep their hands in their own pockets.

Well dang Wilbur ….I just saw your post but we are back in Charlotte now. We will be back at Sunset Labor Day, I will giv e you a buzz if you would like. We had a great time again with the coach in the in laws driveway, they love having the bus there !!!
