Fire alarm but no fire
At rest stop, fire alarm in in dash is going off. Did full inspection, nothing is even close to hot Just normal operation temperature. Any idea what has faulted or maybe shorted so I can get the false alarm off?

Running in rain or recently power wash engine compartment? Sensors typically fail showing fire with moisture. Mounted ceiling engine compartment

There are 2 on my bus, one above the turbo and another above the Webasto. These devices have a history of false alarms when they get wet.

No rain or hose for over year. Called Prevost Pass. Had me disconnect three sensors at fire monitor in divers side rear electric compartment. ohm tested wire on three sensors. One was bad (high Ohm’s). Pass tech had me disconnect that one.

well, now you know where to look. The same thing happened to us a couple of years ago on trip out west and in the middle of nowhere. A phone call to the late Ben Cummings had the proper relay disconnected and alarm silenced. Parliament then fed-ex’d the offending sensor to us, which I was able to replace a few days later. Of course, now that I know what to do…it’ll never happen again. Geo.
