  • Finally Found Accumulator Tank & Needs Replacement

Posted by Jeff on March 24, 2021 at 9:14 pm

Pulled out my refer for two reasons: to clean the coils & also see if the accumulator tank was behind it so could test it. Yes it was. Checked its pressure and it was 13psi AND had water coming out the schrader valve while checking psi.

So….ordered an exact replacement so fitment will be an exact swap.

Will call Head Hunter tomorrow to ascertain the Mach 5’s cut-in pressure.

    P. S. – the other tank in the photo is the reverse osmosis tank. I am removing all R. O. filters and the tank as it only provides R. O. water to the refrigerator. No kitchen drinking water spout and according to my bus docs, it initially provided water to the coffee maker, too, yet it now has a separate filter. My re-plumb will relocate the coffee maker filter from under the kitchen sink cabinet floor to the curb-side plumbing bay where it will provide filtered water to both the coffee maker and refer, AND be much easier to access for annual replacement.

It appears Liberty Coach never ran out of a place to put stainless steel!

    A1,

Remember a while back when you said I know I have one but can’t find my accumulator tank? Well lookie here, pull the fridge. OH MY.

Gosh Jeff I wish you would of posted this a few days ago. Frank Jr Liberty was at MCCC in the desert this past weekend and it would of given me 15 minutes of conversation about his engineering skills.

They used to put a filter under the fridge and now they graduated to a accumulator tank, wow.

No reflection on you Jeff, your doing a good hands on job on your coach.

This goes under the category of you don’t know what you don’t know.

    Later,

    bv
