Just to start the ball rolling my preference for my parkng would be on the blacktop where we were originally with my own generator. I make this choice so we have less grass and sand tracked into the coach and with the generator running we can use any electrical devices we choose as much as we want and i get to exercise a generator that never gets used enough.
What Bill did not mention was if you opt for this there will be 10:00 PM to 6:00AM quiet hours.
-
Quiet hrs.? You can barely hear our gens run outside much less from inside any of our coaches. Geo.
-
It’s the smell of diesel exhaust when folks are trying to sleep with the bedroom windows open at night that was the main reason for the restriction. I think we all agree noise is not the real reason.
-
Guess we’ve been in Fla too long…don’t have windows open at night ’cause of the humidity. Geo.

My vote is for:
Park on the Jet Way and use your generator for $599.
That is what we are currently signed up for.
-
Again your call but the Jet Way is large enough that we could simply put quite hour coaches on one side and full time on the other. Just a thought.
-
A good idea….what could anyone find to complain about if both your neighbors are running generator 24/7.
Bill, I think you have found the sweet spot to generator operation on jet way.
-
I went for the electricity, mainly for the dogs when I am away from the coach, but since you are now changing the rules, I would suggest that every other coach plug into the adjoining coach’s buddy plug. That way, generators get exercise and you only have half as many generators running for those light sleepers. See how simple life is?
-
Sort of a problem….I have no buddy plug TF.
Marathon choose to keep our electric for propriety use. It’s not about being a snob when you park next to a Marathon at all…. TF
In the interest of sharing as now days every player gets a prize. I’ll stretch a heavy duty extension cord out my bedroom window….Would you like a construction yellow or safety red ?
always trying to be helpful

Al, I just think Marathon knew that you did not have any friends. That way you have to take it back to Marathon for service, since you have no buddys to hep y’all to fix stuff therefore,no need for a buddy plug. Jon, you can take a break since I am picking on BA today. See ya at Crab Fest at the end of the week and you can get even.
-
It’s nice to see something other than a Liberty owner picking on a Marathon owner.
Of course any Liberty owner could get the best of both of you together with one hand tied behind his back.
No buddy plug???????? Are you joking? Did your coach come with a generator? What else is missing?

How about a power cord long enough to use anywhere but alongside. Geo.
-
What about the smell from diesel heating systems if it gets cold at night?
-
And, feedback for Bill III… we will opt for the $599 Jet Way parking option. Kirby
