I am in Arizona and we have had some wicked wind today. I am parked facing east and the wind is mostly from the west. I have a fan in the shower we never use or open. The lid blew open and completely off in a thousand pieces this afternoon. It is not raining so I am not in a bind but need to fix it as soon as possible.

Question, is this probably a fantastic fan or at least the same dimensions?

Would a Max Air cover take care of it for now?

Does a Max Air cover mount to the roof or to the fan itself?

    Thanks,

    Davy

    Davy,

I don’t know for sure if yours is a fantastic fan, but mine is. I would think most Prevost converters would use these fans. You can get the lid online thru fantastic fan.

I would use a fantastic fan cover vs the max air since it allows the fan cover to open more. However, if you never open it, I would think the max cover would work. Very easy install.

But I have another question, don’t you open that vent when you take showers to ensure you vent the moisture from the shower outdoors vs staying in the coach which can cause mildew issues?

Thank you. I found the lids online but I am not sure exactly what it is. I am waiting for the wind to die down so I can get up on the roof safely. Winds right now are a steady 30 MPH with gusts much highter.

I am just a few miles from a Camping World. I can take what is left of the broken one down there and see if I can make an identification.

This fan has a power cover and has never closed properly. We use the fan a cross the hall in the commode room.

    Davy,

If yours is a fantastic fan, you should contact them. They have a great history of standing behind their products.

On one of our previous coaches they sent out a replacement fan with out question or returning of the problem

unit. As far as the Maxx air units, they attach to the fan unit and do not penetrate the roof. If you go up on the

roof, be carefull and try to stay on the cross member support ribs. Roofs are not for walking on.

Thanks for the help. It was a Fantastic. I am a few miles from a Camping World so I ran down there and picked up a cover. They only had one in stock. I could have called Fantastic or odered one cheaper on Amazon but I wanted to hold it in my hand and make sure everything lined up.

The old one was very brittle. It was very likely original.
