Famous Previos owners.
Posted by Roscoeapproved on March 19, 2022 at 10:18 pmDoes anyone have evidence that their bus was once owned by a famous person? I often wonder how many are lurking around here. I think it would be fun to hear some stories about this. I bet someone like Jeff Rowe has some doosies and it may be unfair for him to participate. How about Cbus.?

Dick,
Yep, those fellas are definatly famous in the Prevost world and even in the broader bus community. I was thinking more on the lines of Bob Seger or Willie Nelson. Charlie Daniels bus was at ETLC years ago and Jeff allowed me to go up the steps and poke my head in. I felt like i was robbing a bank :). Needless to say i get star struck pretty easily. Even by the PC guys. I remember seeing something about Earnest Borgnines Prevost. I wonder where that one is now. Good stuff though.
Cool pics Mike. Except for some blemishes i bet it doesnt look much different today.

EB has a series of You tube videos with him traveling around in the “Sun Bum” Bus. He had a Country Coach.

At an RV rally, working as a vendor, we were parked with a couple that proudly displayed a big sign in the Prevost front window “Wille Nelson’s former tour bus”. I took a picture and sent a note to Willie’s tour manager who we were working with along with a note saying, In case you wondered what happened to your old coach!” The tour manager wrote back that they had never owned Prevost’s back then as the preferred the ride of an Eagle (little to no side to side sway).
I think I crushed the guy when I gave him the info but he had bought it at a legitimate car auction house and thought he needed to know he had been scammed.

I watched a few “sun bum” videos. What a character. He sure seemed to love his bus.

I know nothing about auction houses so if they are not legit, that’s news to me. Maybe I should have said Name brand? Buyer beware even there? I would never be at one so just consider my comment as ignorance.
