We arrived yesterday and are spending one day at Carroll”s RV park at exit 82 on I-75 in Ashburn, GA.

Since about 7:15 this morning the local cops have been averaging 4 speeders per hour. They have it down to a science and they are filling the local coffers with an ample amount of fines. By 4 an hour I mean what I can see just south of the exit along the I-75 on ramp and three lanes of traffic. I cannot see the other northbound side but have heard sirens so I know they are sweeping this section of I-75 very efficiently.

On the southbound side they are on the grass just south of the exit bridge so traffic has to come over a small rise before the drivers see the cop car. I am guessing after they return to that spot after writing a ticket it is less than 5 minutes on average before the blue lights come on and they are chasing the next speeder.

If you are on I-75 near MM 82 keep the speed reasonable because those local cops have it down to an efficiency that has to be admired and are obviously a huge profit center for Ashburn.

we stayed there last Tuesday and the Wednesday of the Week before. Every morning we where there the cops were wearing it out! Tuesday they even turned on the sirens for more excitement . Once before we met up with Tom and Nance while there.

The price for camping there increased from $30 to $40 a night still with the 10 dollar coupon – its ok. I ask if they had added a indoor heated pool and game room since last week. I received a blind stare.
