  • Exit light switches

Posted by Dean on August 26, 2013 at 7:49 pm

My exit light switches by the entrance door will not shut off independently. If I shut the master lighty switch off then the exit lights go off. Anyone have an idea what might cause this?

    Thanks

Sounds like a relay issue Dean, but I’m not familiar enough with Vantare.

On our Marathon there is a switch so I can over-ride the master switch. I’am not on the bus and just a guess on the switch label is…. entry.

So is there a seperate entry switch at some spot near the door.

When we’re leaving for evening cocktails to watch the Lawrence Welk Show… at Jon’s and Di’s bus , I’ll leave the light on.

Check the switch panel on either side of the bed. Our
Vantare has a switch labeled “Exterior Lights”.

Pressing this switch turns on the exterior lights (go
figure) but doing so disables the rest of the individual switches throughout
    the coach.

As I understand it, the thought process was to have a single
switch to turn on all the outside lights in case of a disturbance rather to hit
right side, left side, door light, etc. I am not sure why they set it up to disable the other switches but they did.

Seems like a good idea but the down side is once and a while,
when someone makes the bed in the morning, we hit the switch by mistake and the
    lights stay on all day.

    Hope this helps,

    Paul

Thanks everyone I guess all I had to do was ask the experts and when I got up this morning they were working properly.

    MAGIC the easiest fix ever.
