  • Exercise equipment

Posted by Mark on August 14, 2019 at 6:09 pm

I am about to close on my first Prevost. It’s an 06 XL2 Marathon. My wife and I are regular exercisers. We are still working so most trips will be weekends or 1-2 weeks at a time. When on a longer trip, I’d like to stock some equipment which wouldn’t take up a lot of basement room. I was hoping to get some ideas. I was thinking some dumbbells, bands, TRX although not sure where to hook that up.

I am open to all suggestions and comments including thoughts that I’m crazy. LOL

Have you tried body core exercising. Less impact on joints.etc. Gives same results, less recovery time. You tube some of these. Been amazing for me.

I know there are a fair amount of options which require no equipment. Burpees, lunges, jump squats, plank, etc. I’ll check into your suggestion. Thanks Steve.

If at all practical, we book stays at campgrounds/resorts that have Pickleball courts.

For those of us of a certain age, Pickleball really rocks.

I did have the opportunity recently to partner with a younger player… a college scholarship baseball player, less than 1/3rd my age. He was 6’2″ and quick… I had a couple of moves he had not learned yet while he had hundreds of moves that old men can’t do.

Youth is so wasted on the young…

This is what I carry and use (sometimes). Small and it works.

If you enjoy a full workout several times per week, you might want to look into a membership with Planet Fitness. Instead of carrying a whole lot of equipment you could go to any PF in the Country and have a full workout and some pizza on Friday’s (I think it’s Friday). You can go to any Planet Fitness for free for a week if you want to give them a try. For $10/month you only belong to that one club but for $25/month you can visit any PF in the system.
