Entry door question
When opening and closing the entry door, the movement feels “stiff” and resistant. Is this more likely to be a lubrication issue, or a door hinge adjustment issue? Perhaps we’ve not been using it enough?
I did a search on this forum but didn’t really find anything directly pertinent. Would welcome any thoughts.

Most Prevost doors i have swung are all a little stiff. It comes from the weight and how rugged the hinges are.

One need to lubricate the hinge and especially the hold open mechanism on top hinge. Others have posted about it breaking and being a challenge to repair.

Our ’98 CC 40XL door opens and closes as smooth as silk so I would suggest that something is wrong if you are getting resistance somewhere. If you look around the edges of the closed door and that tiny gap all the way around is equal then adjusting the hinges is not necessary. By the way, adjusting the hinges on the door requires professional help. I watched Jeff at ETLC adjust mine and we are talking about having to use a floor jack to support the door and moving it in amounts that appear to be measured in microns!
I would be looking for lubrication opportunities or something binds on the swing arms themselves.
